I want to tell you a story.

Back in 2024, the original SideQuest was only built for iPhone.

Shortly after development, I stopped the project. Back then, I only had a few friends testing.

I liked the idea, but the app did not match what I was imagining. The version in my head was much bigger.

I got overwhelmed by the pressure of feeling like I needed to execute it perfectly.

I gave up.

In December 2025, I restarted the project from scratch. Building intentionally. Completely new UI. New framework. New trajectory. New idea:

"Just do it for fun."

Honestly, I have no idea what drew me back to it. But I began chiseling at the marble.

Somehow, I started logging 12+ hour development days for most of December. And it felt... fun.

For the first time in my life, I felt like I was truly trying at something without being trapped by perfectionism.

Shortly after, SideQuest launched officially on iOS.

Players I would not recognize started accumulating on the leaderboard.

Their response?

"NICCCEEEEE"

There is still so much more that I want SideQuest to become.

More quests. More guild content. More reasons to keep walking. More reasons for gamers to feel alive and connected.
